In the rolling landscapes of Sussex, remnants of a bygone era stand tall against the sky, decommissioned windmills that once harnessed the power of the wind. This project documents these historical structures, capturing their beauty and solitude while inviting reflection on their significance in our history of energy and sustainability.

As monuments to innovation these windmills symbolise a time when society embraced renewable energy,  before the reliance on fossil fuels reshaped our world.  In our quest for progress, we often overlook the lessons of history: solutions of the past can inspire our future.
